Q: I want to get the most out of my college experience– the flexibility to live at home or to move out on my own when I’m ready. Can I really have the best of both worlds?

A: Penn State Wilkes-Barre is all about options and opportunities. The campus offers eight bachelor and four associate degree programs that can be completed without ever having to leave the campus. We also boast seven athletics teams. In addition to classes and athletics, there is a vibrant campus  life that offers experiences in service and leadership opportunities, intramurals and student organizations.

The campus features don’t stop here. Penn State Wilkes-Barre students are University students and have the ability to experience everything that Penn State offers, right down to the option to  buy season tickets for the Penn State Nittany Lions football games.

One of the most significant opportunities Penn State Wilkes-Barre presents is the flexibility to move around within the Penn State system. With Penn State’s 2+2 program, students can start one of more than 160 Penn State degrees at Penn State Wilkes-Barre and then transition to another campus, including University Park.

Additional campuses include Abington, Altoona, Beaver, Berks, Brandywine, DuBois,   Erie (Behrend College), Fayette (Eberly Campus), Greater Allegheny, Harrisburg, Hazleton, Lehigh Valley, Mont Alto, New Kensington, Schuylkill, Shenango, Worthington Scranton, and York.

What about the employment forecast? The Wall Street Journal recently ranked Penn State number one among job recruiters, with one  sample recruiter noting Penn State students are “bright, well-rounded students…with the core competencies we desire.”  This is great news for Penn State University graduates who are entering a shaky job market.
