Kathi Hamilton, owner of Kathi Hamilton Insurance Agency, has been selling Allstate insurance since 1980 and really knows, and loves, her business and clients.
     She and her three employees always put the customer first.
     "Customer service is number one," said Kathi. "We want people to know we care about them as individuals and that we don't just do the same thing for everyone. Our service is
very customized; we try to find out as much as we can about our customers and what their needs are."
     Kathi also emphasized the importance of making sure her clients fully understand the products by encouraging them to call with questions.      Being up-front and honest shows them that they can depend on her to provide them with the services that meet their needs, not the needs of the company. She is up-to-date on all the new products and helps match each person with the ones that best suit his or her needs.
     "I love people," said Kathi. "Because we know a lot about our customers, that helps us help them."
     Most people are aware of Allstate home and auto insurance, but Kathi Hamilton's business offers that and so much more. It handles everything from personal auto, home, and life insurance to all kinds of retirement planning. It has a couple of financial companies that it sells products for and it's "quite a big deal," as Kathi said. It does long-term health care, retirement planning, college funding, and more of the financial aspect of business over the past years.
     Kathi's community involvement has included work with Kingston's KAMPA and other non-profit fund raisers. She's offered retirement seminars and plans to do a seminar for women and finances. She says that women often handle the finances but often lack confidence in that area. She hopes the upcoming seminar will help change that.
