Nelson Furniture Warehouse

     Nelson Warehouse, located only a few blocks from Wyoming Avenue, has a wide variety of pre-owned and new furniture that includes sofas, love seats, futons, chairs, recliners, dinette sets, coffee tables, end tables, dressers, chests, beds, lamps, and many other items. The spacious showroom has just about everything for all motifs and home styles.

     Managed by Louise Nelson, Nelson Warehouse is housed in the former General Cigar factory and is also an ideal place to shop for couples who are planning a marriage or furnishing a single room or an entire home for the first time.

     “We have very good bargains; we have furniture that is right for every family budget,” said Louise. “If you know the measurements of what you need, we even have measuring sticks all over the warehouse, so an individual will be able to get an accurate reading on what fits where. We do our best to satisfy each customer. We believe the customers are always right, and we do our best to accommodate each and every one of them.”

     The Nelson building is truly a multiple purpose structure, and the service for its customers in all venues is outstanding. A large area of the building is used for self storage–there are climate-controlled units of all sizes. Each storage customer has an access code to get into the loading dock area between the hours of 7 a.m.-9 p.m. daily. Joe, Louise’s husband, manages the storage area.

     “Actually, it was our son, Rob, who encouraged us to open the rest of the building up for a storage area,” he said. “There is also office space available.”

     Nelson Furniture Warehouse is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday. On Thursday, the hours are expanded until 7 p.m. On Saturday, the hours are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Appointments are available for customers who are unable to come to the showroom during regular hours.
