Profiles In Business Excellence: PSCP

Raymond J. Kline

When you walk through the doors of Personal Strength and Conditioning Professionals, you will not find long lines of people waiting for your favorite bench press or treadmill. You will not feel the anxiety, pressure, and embarrassment that float through the air at most mega gyms. And, you'll find trainers who have years of experience and are willing to help you develop a specialized training routine to fit your personal lifestyle without the everyday distractions in a common facility.
Owner Andrew D. Stuka specializes in creating training and workout routines that are focused on each individual client's needs. The training can range anywhere from physical fitness and strength building to just staying active to remain fit and healthy. His goal is to create a relaxed one-on-one environment between the trainer and client that is not offered at your usual gym.
"You lose that privacy and intimacy between people when you are training in an ordinary gym," said Andrew. "We have the ability to gear the training toward the individuals and their specific needs, whether that's a housewife just trying to stay in shape or someone wanting to break into the fitness magazine world."
With a master's degree in Exercise Physiology from Bloomsburg University, Andrew is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist who decided to open his own personal training studio to give people the option of having a facility that is run by an instructor with the proper credentials and education.
At Personal Strength and Conditioning, the staff members believe that the experience you get at their studio is far superior to an average gym. Their motto is "Train for Life!" And with a client age base that starts as young as 12 and stretches to clients who are almost 80 years old, they truly believe that no one is too young or too old to begin that training.
