If you want big-city styles without big-city prices, traffic, or hassles, you can find what you want right here in Kingston. Prestige Jewelers and Showroom 56 at Prestige in the United Penn Plaza are specialty boutiques that offer unique items you won't find anywhere else in the area and at reasonable prices.
Customers are amazed at how inexpensive the items are in comparison to what they are used to spending for similar looks, not only locally, but at the major department stores. The boutiques bring trendy looks, designer lines, and even some new lines to the Wyoming Valley.
Shopping is a fun experience at Prestige and Showroom 56. While there, you can sit in one of their comfy leather chairs or lounge on their couch in the shoe section while being given individual attention by their amazing staff.
"We guarantee a shopping experience that will be relaxed, pressure-free, and fun," said Owner Sally Van Scoy. "Our customers are our friends and we want them to know that. We hope our customers say that they enjoyed their visit to our locations, had a pleasurable experience while here, were given exceptional service, and can't wait to come back."
Prestige Jewelers is the area's leading jeweler in high-fashion jewelry, diamonds, and unique gemstones. It caters to the fashion-conscious shopper wanting individual, high-style jewelry to complement her wardrobe, as well as offering an excellent selection of gifts and bridal and evening wear styles.
Showroom 56 is the area's newest trendy boutique, offering great styles of jeans, handbags, lingerie, and accessories. Some of the designer lines you see at both boutiques you will also see in all the major department stores. However, there is no comparison between these boutiques and larger chain stores, where you're lucky to find a clerk and might have to wait in long lines for service.
These local businesses also give back to the community. They hosted a fund-raiser for Breast Cancer Awareness called "Hope on the Runway," a fashion show at the FM Kirby Center. This first-time event raised nearly $10,000 and all proceeds went to the local chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
